Focus points during rehabilitation

  • Pain of stump muscles may be an important limiting factor in weight bearing capability and gait rehabilitation
  • An interlude in the rehabilitation program may be required if pain is a limiting factor for gait training without a walking aids
  • When stump muscles become stronger by exercise, muscle pain reduces and unsupported symmetric gait improves
  • Alignment and settings of the prosthesis are depended of the rehabilitation phase. The prosthetist will continuously optimize BADAL X™ alignment and settings whenever needed.
